It is a big statement from a surfer who has a lot of great stuff in his inventory.
A combination of a plane bottom curve and a bit of volume all along the middle part gets mixed with a sharp advanced and adjusted front and rear parts.
These add to the fact it is currently our most preferred advanced short JS type of the last years. You’d better buy a copy, or not only one.

What We Tested
I chose the JS Industries Monsta Box type of the size of 5 by 10.
I had tried a lot of different surfboards and different elements, and now I have tested the Futures Fins F8’s at last. I am pleased with what it turned out to be.
What It Fits
Monsta Box may work great when it comes to common environment you are surfing in, or sharper and higher waves. It has shown itself as a many-faceted surfboard.
Properties

- Box’s features a broader contour of the first one and slimmer advanced form of the letter
- It features an isolated plain hollow in the head part extending into a truly unweighted dual hollow across the fins

I will now share my opinion with you. The surfboard I tested has the size of 5 by 10, of almost 30 liters.
As mentioned above, it is a mixture of two surfboards. Thanks to what was mentioned above, it features both the broader contour and the slimmer advanced form making it a truly versatile advanced type .
The Model
Its contour is like Monsta. Remarkable is a thick form while the foam is spread not too much plentifully. But when the front part is concerned, it is much sharper across the front part.
All in all, this one functions great in common situations. It is even much better in turns.
It is sharper, slim front part gives an impression that it truly functions to help you manage turns if you are slightly more skilled than a middle-level surfer.
Surfboard features an isolated plain hollow extending into a truly unweighted dual hollow across the fins. In addition, you can see a plain rocker which functions greatly in combination with form.
These things are a good match for the contour. There is not anything special, but it simply functions greatly.
The pattern at hand is smooth and gains much of a tempo.
Its feature is much foam spread out under the rear part. It is also helpful in warm-days situations with not so wonderful, tiny waves.
To my opinion, surfboard features the right mix of the plain bottom curve and the contour. It will be perfect in presumably every plain and common situation up to sharp and higher waves.
You can currently find many surfboards on offer that are models for every occasion.
Such a surfboard, to my mind, is the one that works well in pretty bad conditions up to, let’s assume, 2 meters of a wave.
However, I believe it happens that such Monsta have not much of a difference between them.
Monsta truly stands to its guns in every situation. I surfed in massive open waves, and it turned out great.
I have surfed under quite bad conditions and strove to test Box in decent waves. It is okay.
I have had the same pleasant experience with that as with advanced boards that I had tested before.
To my mind, JS is for people who are perhaps truly experienced users wishing to buy a versatile pattern. It will be a good option when the conditions of surfing occasionally get better, but being overall not good at their place.
It also stands to its guns and gives much of a push in common environment.
As I already mentioned, when the overall surfing environment gets better, the “Box” shows itself from a very good side.
Test of the Monsta Box
I have now used this one for some time, I have even tested it abroad lately.
Namely, I visited Indonesia. It is so that the waves were not as perfect as I wanted, and while I was preparing for my adventure, I had doubts if I shall bring this one, too, or not.
I expected I would wish to bring a bunch of really advanced short models having much of the bottom curve and the adjusted contour.
I understood it had been the right decision to bring this “Box” as the conditions were quite low and the board ripped them to shreds.
I have faced quite a bunch of winds and other stuff like in the Dear Suburbia film.
Actually, I had 5 surfboards in my inventory, but it was exactly Box that I used the most.
The waves that we had were not so great, but the model worked impressively. Moreover, the waves were not always of the same type. That is why, I came to a conclusion that the newest model can be put on the list of the best models I have ever had.
Another section of the board
Its fin is pretty solid. It is the Futures F-series 8 Fin.
The model itself is quick, which means I have not needed additional things to improve it.
I like it.
The fin provides much of the tempo and handleability. The model does not require anything else.
The fins provide it slightly more drive as it has a hollow, initially it is one isolated fin and then — two. There is nothing so sophisticated, but it functions pretty great.
The surfboard needs a fin and gets tempo check, and surfing is really great as a result.

All in all, with respect to the benefits and downsides of this model, I might put it on the list of the most decent many-faceted models we have ever tried.
According to the opinion of many surfers, this model can take the place of all the boards in your inventory, and I agree with that. As we tested it, the waves were quite normal.
The conclusion is Monsta surfboard basically gives the same pleasure as these squash-shaped mixture-types.
Moreover, with the better waves, you feel like you own the place, as well.
In my opinion, this model will be good for an advanced surfer. In case, your skills are on a quite decent level and you are searching for this very surfboard, it is the perfect match to your needs.
However, I am sure it will be good for a middle-level user who aims to check his or her limits.
Actually, I have no downsides in my mind. It stood the test under all the conditions I faced.
As a result, I can say that if I had the opportunity to have exclusively one surfboard, not having lots of other models, as of now, I would pick this one.
I got enormous pleasure testing it.
