Quick review of the surfboard – the newest fourth version of Channel Islands

The newest version of surfboard is super speedy, enjoyable, all-purpose surfboard! It is suitable for little to middle tides, but it can work well in higher, full waves as well.

Here is our opinion on the one made by Dane Reynolds.

Pros of the surfboard

  • It does not take much effort to sweep, is extremely quick and flexible at the same time in a range of circumstances
  • A dual wing in combination with a circular squarish rear part works great in abrupt tides and during sharp spins
  • It is an all-purpose advanced surfboard, it is perfect for shoulder-long sloppy tides as well as concave tides higher than a person’s height.

Cons of the Islands Board

  • For me, it does not have them! What do you think? Share your thoughts.

What It Fits

Channel Islands #4 by Dane Reynolds

Shoulder-long tides up to the waves a bit higher than a person’s height, concave, plane, and sloppy.

Islands model does a great job nearly everywhere.

Opponents

Number Four 4 Channel Islands Al Merrick Surfboard

  1. Opinion on the … Lost Rocket: a revolutionary model to my mind, it shows itself shockingly greatly in the biggest part of the circumstances typical to almost everybody engaged in that kind of sport.
  2. Opinion on the Firewire Spitfire: this one is similarly formed and of the same idea.
  3. Opinion on the Haydenshapes Hypto Krypto: it is a splitting model suitable for low to middle-height waves. The forward part gives an impression to be and works exactly as a fish-type, the rear part is for every occasion.
  4. Opinion on the Chilli Rare Bird: it is an impressively speedy, all-purpose model. It fits sloppy waves half of the person’s height to higher concave tides.

Main Ideas

Hi, we are happy to have you here! I am thrilled to share my opinion on the small super machine.

It has been a while since I was so thrilled concerning a surfboard. It was the …Lost Rocket and it is my all-time model to surf on as you already know from my page.

The Channel was good for little (but not too much) tides to maximum a bit above the level of the head, concave waves. That surfboard managed to cope with everything I wanted it to.

Until now, this is what I think of the #4 — the newest surfboard released by the Channel Islands in the USA — the Dane Reynolds.

To my mind, the following aspects make it possible for this model to work well in a number of wave kinds.

These are a broad tip, which is exactly in the middle, plus a broad contour in the main. However, it draws in at the front having a dual hump at the rear part, subsequently getting broader and drawing in rather fast into this circular squarish part on the back.

The moment I tested it, the waves were shoulder-high maximum and a little sliced.

One cannot call it perfect circumstances. It was awful at the very beginning when I popped up. In fact, it got stuck terribly.

When I popped up afterwards, I took the course and really streamed along it. Enjoyable, flying, easy to handle, and not excessively self-willed at the same time.

After that I wanted to see how it would work with stronger, higher waves, above the level of the head. I popped up on my rear hand and stood up, and the surfboard popped up.

It sped up impressively fast. I had the ideal equilibrium and tempo and could cope with this one very easily.

As a result, I became a fan of the Channel number 4 surfboard.

The Channel #4 model has the broad contour. The front and rear parts feature a little bottom curve.

It is noticeable that the bottom curve sort of draws up at the front, is rather plane in the middle and, consequently, has a good push-up at the rear. This all will be perfect for a wide range of wave types.

The central part has a little thickness, which is why there is no difficulty to paddle, and the Islands surfboard gradually gains tempo.

The rails are of a middle size and have a little foam going from the middle. The ‘Utility’ proportions are slightly more improved.

Our model has a normal isolated to dual hollow going across the back. Apart from that dual wing to circular squarish rear part, it is a quite typical, broader, planer, smaller length all-purpose short model.

However, this one is truly impressive and enjoyable, I am very thrilled to test this model once more.

I would be happy to know your thoughts on the Channel Islands #4 surfboard below if you have surfed it. I deeply appreciate your attention.
